Lembaga Fajar Harapan is an independent non-governmental organization based in Medan, North Sumatra and has program operations in Aceh Province and North Sumatra Province. FH has been working in Indonesia since 2005 and aims to alleviate all forms of poverty through wholistic programming and approach.
Currently, FH works in the Agriculture, Economic Development, Education sectors as well as addressing cross cutting issues such as Gender Balance and Equity, Good Governance and Disaster Risk Reduction. Our goal is to walk with families and community leaders to bring sustainable change.
Main purpose of the role

As the bakery trainer, this job is working closely with the women group in produce varying quantities of bread, pastries, and other baked goods for sale in establishments such as bakeries, grocery stores, and food stalls outlets. He/she may also take orders and create specialty items, such as wedding and birthday cakes, for customers. Required of creatively in create new variations of products and decorate specialty goods like wedding cakes in accordance with a customer's which may feature foods and beverage and fancy dessert that appeal to particular regions or that emphasizes a baker's specialty request.
Able to multitask in areas such as bread making, cookies and beverage would be essential and relevant. Maximize the potential of women group members and equip them with practical hands-on skills, technique and knowledge value-added training for the baking profession as an individual as well as group small scale enterprise. Develop curriculum-training materials not limited in areas of sugar work / craft, chocolate making, cake, cookies and pastry making, also in areas of beverage for home industry level.
Responsibilities (JD)
This position will have a role and responsibilty to:
-To develop the modules, plan, supervise and evaluate the training
-To identify the training needs, organize the training which facilitate the skill development, knowledge and attitude women group
-To coordinate the activity of training and develop the women skills in area of food and beverage processing, packaging and marketing
-Ensure that the kitchen in the community training centre adhere to food health and safety standards and effectively maintained
-Plan and Report on the budget advance and liquidation in a weekly basis to the Finance Officer
Dimensions and Limits of Authority
The post holder has the responsibility to Livelihood & Savings Coordinator
Qualifications, experience and competences
Essential
•Strong experience of working in small scale/home industry in area of baked goods and beverage.
•Strong experience of develop the training modules and facilitate the training in bakery and beverage
•Strong communications skills
•Excellent problem solving ability with proven analytical skills.
•Experience of establishing strong and constructive working relationships with colleagues from different functions, organizations and cultures.
•Experience of working and participating effectively as part of a team.
•Experience of a flexible approach to managing and prioritizing a high workload and multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
•Attention to detail.
•Good, proven, negotiation skills.
•Strong problem solving abilities.
•Confident and proficient user of MS Office, with advanced Excel skills.
•Willing to work occasional evenings and weekends.
•Able and willing to travel to remote and insecure locations for short periods of time and at short notice.
•Commitment to FH's mission and values.
Desirable
•Basic qualification in Food and Beverage Science or at least graduated from High school in vocational school of the related subject with two years working experience in area of food and beverage are wellcome.
•Experience in facilitate the training or at least has a basic knwoledge in microfinance aspects is an advantageous
